WROアブダビ国際大会に物理部生徒が英語スピーチ

11月19日～20日にアブダビで行われたWROアブダビ国際大会において、東日本大震災についてのスピーチを依頼され、物理部2年生の田島朋 輝君が英語によるスピーチを行いました。常盤木学園の生徒さん3名と合計10分程度、各国の支援の状況、原発・地震・WROの活動について、それぞれ分担 してプレゼンテーションを行いました。田島君のスピーチの内容は、以下の通りです。
Hello,everyone.My name is Tomoki Tajima.We're high school students in Miyagi.
Do you know Miyagi Prefecture in Japan?
Thank you for holding this nice speaking occation.
On March 11th,earthquake occurred in Japan and damaged Japanese economy.
However , Japan is reviving smoothly.
When the earthquake occured I thought Japan can not be reconsructed.
But I was relieved when I head the people around the world helped Japan.
Furthermore,I was surprised to hear that they thought it for granted.
From this,I felt strong ties between Japan and the world.
And I think world peace can become true.
If everyone in the world had not cooperated, I think Japan was unable to be reconstructed.
From this , I learned again the importance of cooperation.
Everyone who has helped us thank you very much.
また、今回の費用は大会側からの補助によるものだったため、御礼を含めLEGO社のオーナーや事務局長、WROのチェアマンと対談し、今回の感謝の意を表しました。
生徒たちは慣れない英語ながらも各自の担当の内容について吟味し、素晴らしいプレゼンテーションを行いました。海外の生徒との交流や街の様子などを見ることによって得た経験は非常に貴重なもので、今後の彼らの生活に大きく影響を残すことでしょう。
